Dr. Christina McQueeney

During Dr. McQueeney’s elementary school years, she was called by the Lord to work with people who were hearing impaired. He put such a love in her heart for the hearing impaired that she wanted to learn all she could about them. She read every book about Helen Keller that her elementary school library had and taught herself finger spelling. Wanting to be around people with hearing loss, she asked her dad, a principal at a local elementary school, if she could sit in the hearing-impaired classroom at the school. She was intrigued as she watched how the children communicated using their body hearing aids. Her love for the hearing impaired and passion to help them continued as she grew older. Dr. McQueeney received her B.S. and M.S. in audiology from Purdue University, and her Doctoral degree in audiology from A.T. Stills University.

As an audiologist, she is trained to assess hearing ability and help those with a hearing impairment become effective communicators through different styles of amplification devices and/or aural rehabilitation. By going through a unique program built around the person’s lifestyle, she can help those struggling to communicate to get back to being effective and active participants in conversation as well as life. To this day, she has been blessed to fulfill the call of God on her life and uses the gifts and talents that He gave her to serve the hearing-impaired population.

Dr. McQueeney has lived and practiced audiology in Hancock County since 1989. She is committed to providing hearing healthcare services with the latest in hearing aid digital technology. Understanding that each person who enters into the hearing healthcare process is unique, Dr. McQueeney tailors each hearing rehabilitative process to meet individual lifestyles and needs. The goal of every hearing aid fitting is to ensure that every person is comfortable with and benefiting greatly from the use of the amplification devices chosen. If not, she will work with the patient until the goal is achieved. Dr. McQueeney views the patient/doctor relationship as a team effort, working together to achieve the greatest results possible for better hearing and communication. Along with hearing aid fittings, Dr. McQueeney provides complete hearing evaluations, hearing screenings, retro-cochlear pathology screenings, and tinnitus management. She also offers a full line of custom ear protection devices.
